ADs

ADs is an analog collage series made from vintage magazine advertisements from the 1960s and 1970s, in which figures and objects are excised and set against pastel fields or gold foil. By removing products from their original contexts, the work disrupts the promises of postwar consumer culture and exposes advertising as a construction of desire and idealized identity. The altered surfaces oscillate between allure and absence, inviting a reconsideration of value, nostalgia, and persuasion.
