Emily Hoerdemann is a Los Angeles based collage artist.  Her practice utilizes analog collage with tangible materials to explore the contradictions and complications presented by the representation of the American Dream, the evolution of memory, and to critique the art market.

She received her BFA in painting and photography from Bradley University (Peoria, IL), and a Masters in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art (New York, NY). Emily’s works are in numerous private collections, have been featured in the LA Times and Forbes, are included on The Frame art tv by Samsung, and have been exhibited in New York, Chicago, London, and Los Angeles.

With a passion for organization, Emily also specializes in archives creation and management with a focus on visual arts.  In addition to a broad range of archivist services, she designs support materials, including photography and websites, for creatives in the visual and performing arts.
